From Indiana to Georgia: Two States, One Mission, and a Season of Historic Impact
They say that when you move in purpose, the path clears before you. But at Deborah’s Place, we believe that when you serve with consistency, the path doesn't just clear—it expands.
We are thrilled to announce that the close of 2025 wasn't just a busy season; it was a historic one. In a span of less than 60 days, Deborah’s Place received official government proclamations from two different states, recognizing our commitment to breaking cycles of poverty and empowering communities across state lines.
October 27, 2025: Deborah’s Place Day in Indiana
The momentum began at home. On October 27, 2025, the State of Indiana officially proclaimed the day as "Deborah’s Place Day."
For years, our work in Indianapolis has been the heartbeat of our organization—from our workforce development programs to our support for justice-impacted individuals. This proclamation wasn't just a certificate; it was a validation of every life changed, every family fed, and every woman who found her footing through our doors.
December 14, 2025: Georgia Follows Suit
Just as we were celebrating the victory in Indiana, our impact made waves in the South. On December 14, 2025, the State of Georgia issued its own proclamation, honoring Deborah’s Place for our philanthropic footprint in the region.
Specifically, the State recognized our strategic partnership with Atlanta Public Schools and our collaboration with local nonprofit partners. Our work in Atlanta has focused on supporting students and families who are often overlooked, ensuring that education and stability go hand-in-hand. By bridging the gap between community resources and the public school system, we are helping to stabilize families so the next generation can thrive.
What This Means: Purpose, Service, Consistency
It is rare for a nonprofit to receive statewide recognition in two different states in the same quarter. It serves as a testament to our model: Meeting people where they are, regardless of the zip code.
To our Partners: Thank you for trusting us to do the work.
To our Donors: Your seeds are producing a harvest that crosses state lines.
To our Community: This is what purpose looks like when it is fueled by consistency.
As we move further into 2026, we are not slowing down. From the Midwest to the South, Deborah’s Place is committed to being a beacon of hope, a resource for the underserved, and a champion for those ready to rewrite their stories.
Happy Deborah’s Place Day—every day.
